Jews Looking for Marbles: The Global Sumud Flotilla Crew Members Detained by the IOF

Zohran Kwame Mamdani, Democratic nominee for Mayor of NYC, wrote yesterday on his X account:

"This week, the Global Sumud Flotilla tried to deliver life-saving aid to Gaza.

Instead, 461 people — including New Yorkers — have been detained by the Israeli military. They must be freed at once. And the deliberate starvation of Palestinians must end now."

This was his comment at the news that Israeli Occupying Forces had just detained nearly 500 volunteers and activists from 47 nationalities aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla — whose mission was to break the blockade and deliver essential supplies to Gaza.

Cue Elliot Malin: Zionist extraordinaire, self-declared practitioner of International Humanitarian Law, founder of Alpine Strategies, Holocaust educator, and apparently part-time volcano. Upon reading Mamdani’s post combusted into a profanity laced meltdown that could’ve powered a small city.

Elliot saw red, white, and blue... and then just red.

Here’s Elliot’s reaction to Mamdani’s comment:

Elliot Malin on X: "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME YOU ANTISEMITIC PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT.

This is a lie. They tried to breach a fucking LEGAL military blockade and in turn, THEY violated the fucking law you fucking idiot.

They shouldn’t be released, they should be charged under counter-terror laws. Which we know you don’t like because you best fucking pal, @hasanthehun, thinks that 9/11 was fucking good.

Go fuck yourself you fucking Nazi fuck.

I used to avoid swearing on here I don’t anymore. I don’t fucking care. If @TheDemocrats want to platform bike Jew haters like @ZohranKMamdani and @RoKhanna I’m going to swear with my full fucking chest.

Lying to help your politics to frame Jews, and the Jewish state, as the culpable party when the law doesn’t fucking work that way doesn’t make you good.

It makes you a fucking Nazi no better than the fucking SS.

And fuck autocorrect. It’s supposed to say “vile Jew haters” not “bile Jew haters.”

FUCK," - Elliot concluded his rant.

I felt Elliot’s rage radiating through my well-ventilated laptop and couldn’t resist the heat. So I took the bait:

"The only person lying here is you.

You are calling OCCUPIED TERRITORY WATERS a 'LEGAL military blockade' like the flotilla is trying to reach Israel and not Gaza. I understand where you are pulling from your interpretation of the LAW, but you better start using GENEVA CONVENTION.

And when you are mentioning 9/11 did you forget Dancing Israelis and Netanyahu saying that it's great thing for Israel.

You Jews are always using mirror propaganda, but you are losing this war, because people are wide awake and you can't do anything about it. - NOTHING.

You must be high on chocolate babka. Calm down and stop crying, put a pacifier in your mouth and go to sleep. -Friendly recommendation", the end of my comment.

Now, for those unfamiliar with Elliot Malin — he’s the same “fierce Zionist” who, just two days ago, teamed up with Eli M. Rosenbaum to file a war crimes and genocide case at the ICC against Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and IRGC Quds commander Gen. Esmail Qaani. Their alleged crime? Supporting the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack.

Because obviously, the best way to honor victims of violence is to weaponize international law as a PR stunt. Bravo, Elliot. Bravo.

This isn’t about justice for Oct. 7 victims. It’s about undermining the ICC and rewriting the definition of genocide to suit a particular narrative. Elliot himself admitted:

"I don’t have high hopes for the ICC. I think it’s a very biased institution. But I am trying to give them a way to add credibility to themselves..." — The Christian Post reported.

Translation: “I don’t trust the ICC, but I’ll use it as a stage prop if it helps my cause.”

Elliot then generously reinterprets genocide for us:

"So genocide is an act with the intent to destroy in full or in part a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. It is an intent crime..."

And then he goes full tunnel vision:

"We have explicit language from Iranian leaders calling for the extermination of Israel... Israelis are a protected class under the genocide convention..."

Ah yes, the Genocide Convention — Elliot’s favorite bedtime story, rewritten with a Sharpie.

Let’s clarify: The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948) does not name any specific nationality, ethnicity, or group — Israeli or otherwise — as uniquely protected. Article II defines genocide as acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. That’s it. No special badges. No VIP lanes.

So when someone says “Israelis are a protected class under the Genocide Convention,” it’s technically true only in the same way that any national group is protected. But the Convention doesn’t elevate Israelis — or anyone else—above others.

Recent references to Israel and genocide (like the ICJ case brought by South Africa or UN reports) are applications of the Convention, not modifications of it. These cases argue that Palestinians are a protected group under the Convention and that Israel may have violated it.

Meanwhile, Elliot’s “new project” — Alpine Strategies — is described as a “political apparatus of knowledge, relationships, skill, perseverance, and the ability to quickly adapt to an ever-changing environment.” Translation: a political chameleon with a law degree and a megaphone.

The Global Sumud Flotilla Intercepted

The sad story behind this news - while nearly 500 international activists were detained for daring to deliver aid, mainstream media responded with the enthusiasm of a broken fax machine — silence. Apparently, flotillas don’t trend unless they’re carrying weapons or billionaires. The Global Sumud Flotilla didn’t just hit a blockade at sea — it hit one in the newsroom too.

For those of you who didn't come across this news, here is the short news overview published by the Reuters: "Armed Israeli soldiers boarded a flotilla of boats trying to deliver food and medicine to Gaza on Wednesday night, as grainy footage from onboard cameras broadcast the raids live on the flotilla's website, the developers updated the status of the vessels in real-time and posted short videos of each takeover. The site registered 2.5 million visits on Wednesday and 3.5 million on Thursday.

The Global Sumud Flotilla - consisted of more than 40 civilian boats carrying about 500 parliamentarians, lawyers and activists, including Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg, - was seeking to breach an Israeli naval blockade of Gaza.

The flotilla failed to reach Gaza - the boats were intercepted and escorted to Israel. But over the course of ten days, it emerged as the highest-profile opposition to Israel's blockade. Buoyed by that publicity, another flotilla of 11 boats has already set sail.

Wednesday's seizure triggered protests in cities across Europe and as far afield as Argentina, Mexico and Pakistan, and drew criticism from politicians and leaders from Colombia to Malaysia".
